My best (and only) holiday was just last week. Mum and I went to Venus Bay with some family for a couple of days. There were kids, dogs, and grown ups everywhere!! I'm a people dog so this was heaven for me!! Because I'm the littlest, I had someone to play with pretty much the whole time we were there and got very spoiled with lots of walks, cuddles, pats, and games of tug (my favourite)!
We had breakfast at an outdoor cafe every morning and I worked out by the second day that if I was really well behaved, gave my cutest look, then sat nicely and shook paws with the waiter, he would go inside and cook me a piece of bacon and bring it out for me while the humans ate their breakfast! Scored!!!!!!
We had BBQ's for dinner every night, and I got to eat my absolute favourite cooked chicken with veggies every single night!!
I got to see the beach for the very first time, and I was a bit scared of the waves at first. I ended up going in the water with mum holding me close to her and we had a bit of a paddle around. It was nice and cool in the sea, but I didn't listen to mum when she told me not to drink the saltwater....poor mum ended up with my breakfast mixed with saltwater all over her pretty dress. I couldn't control it, it happened really quickly, and both mum and I thought it was never going to stop! She was a really good sport about though.
It was a really nice holiday because nobody had to go to work and could relax, play, and walk around and sniff things all day long! Mum doesn't quite getting the sniffing thing just yet, but I'm working on her.
I'm looking forward to a weekend away again soon!!

We LOVE camping. I (Pessa) love the water but not letting my feet off the bottom, however one time Mummy swam across the other side of the river and it was just too much for me - I had to go & get her so I swam from NSW to Victoria!

we haven't been on a holiday yet because it's very hard to find somewhere to take large dogs for a holiday ...... :( most places cater for small dogs so at the moment we can only go on a dream holiday with our dogs.

Inverloch. Winter. 2007. Kira is shivering uncontrollably. With the vet unavailable we drive to another clinic 20 minutes away. The traffic is slow and we have to stop for directions. Somehow we make it and an injection is given. Vomit and poo goes everywhere but Kira survives the ordeal!

Dakota went on her very first holiday just last week !
We travelled down the south west coast of Western Australia, stopping to visit many places, rivers, oceans, forests .. Dakota with her head out the window catching the breeze along the way ..
Though I would have to say our most memorable moment was her visit to the pristine beaches of Gracetown .. a small holiday spot near Margaret River .. she made a new friend, a golden labrador, they strolled side by side paddling on the shore, slipping off every rock, sticking their heads in the water to snorkel, giving each other a little lick on the face every now & then .. until Dakota discovered seaweed for the very first time .. I was shocked .. considering she doesn't actually swim in the water & is very timid when it comes to new things, she grabbed that seaweed & tossed it around like an elephant .. running up & down the beach to show people .. she was, as one kind man said, a very happy pooch !

Our holiday with Fonzie the miniture schnauzer to Apollo Bay was awesome. It was the first time Fonzie encountered the beach. He was scared at first then ran across the sand and slowly got the courage to step into the water !!!!

One year I had enough of leaving her at home on our holidays, so I decided to sneak her into our beachside unit. It was so much fun, we went to the beach everyday, she was so well behaved and luckily we didn't get busted - it was worth it!
