Hi,
I seem to have this really unique problem. Nearly 18 months back we had adopted Poppy and her son Chubby from a shelter. The shelter people requested for us to take them together since they were related. Though we were looking for different breeds, we were fine to take them since we had planned for 2 dogs and they just seemed to be having a hard luck getting adopted.
Now though it was a bit of a journey we had them trained in boarding schools and they have quite nicely settled in. Only issues I have is that Poppy has the "small dog syndrome" and Chubby takes time to get introduced to humans. My problem is that they are very fine when they are by themselves but if they are in a situation together they seem to embark on this really pack attitude and becomes controlling them at that stage. It could be just a bout of barking or running around the park.
What I want to do is to seperate them so that they can socialise a bit more both with other dogs and with humans. At this stage I am open to other suggestions - but currently I am looking at swapping Poppy with another dog so that they can become more independent individually
I would highly appreciate any thoughts suggestions on the same
cheers
Mum
